木桁架與磨石子地板靜靜承載了近百年的歲月，這座典型的連棟式街屋曾見證過閩南紅磚與日治洋樓的混搭風華，而如何於當代植入Story Wear的品牌精神亦為此次設計思考的最大重點。這不是一場抹除記憶的翻新，而是一場「新舊共生」的時空對話。

[ Weaving Time in Dadaocheng: When Zero-Waste Fashion Meets a Century-Old Townhouse ]
The wooden trusses and terrazzo floors have quietly borne the weight of nearly a century. This classic conjoined townhouse once stood witness to a unique architectural fusion—where traditional Minnan red bricks met the Western-influenced elegance of the Japanese colonial period.

Envisioning how to infuse the core philosophy of Story Wear into this modern context became the defining focus of our design. This is not a renovation that erases memory, but a temporal dialogue of "symbiosis"—where the past and the present coexist in perfect harmony.

我們以老建物的原始色調為底，重點注入勃根地紅、海軍藍與青色；這幾抹跳色如點睛之筆，讓沉穩的木質骨架褪去滄桑，顯露出溫潤生命力；工業感鍍鋅波浪板與老木頭對比，呼應Story Wear 拆解回收丹寧的永續工藝——「接受並賦予不同時代素材全新的生命序列」。

從學學實驗共創的花園進入，看廢棄畫布與油畫蠟筆化為即興街頭藝術，這裡不只是展售空間，更是文化、教育與商業永續的交會點，而設計是為了讓本就美好的價值，以新姿態重生。

Using the original, weathered palette of the historic building as our canvas, we intentionally introduced bold accents of burgundy, navy, and cyan. These vibrant pops of color act as a crowning touch, shedding the heavy cloak of time from the serene wooden framework to reveal a warm, revitalized vitality.

The striking contrast between industrial galvanized corrugated sheets and aged timber echoes Story Wear’s sustainable craft of deconstructing recycled denim—"to accept materials from different eras, and endow them with an entirely new sequence of life."

Entering from the garden co-created with Xue Xue Institute, one witnesses abandoned canvases and oil pastels transformed into spontaneous street art. This is far more than a retail space; it is a vibrant intersection of culture, education, and commercial sustainability. Here, design exists to allow inherently beautiful values to be reborn in a brand-new form.

英倫語彙｜ 運用細緻線板與大規模鏡面反射，打破老建築原有的寬度限制，創造無限延伸的空間視覺。
工藝轉化｜ 樑柱上的鉚釘，抹上鮮豔色彩後變成設計的一部分；工業金屬與老木紋的「異材質對位」，呼應了 Story Wear 拆解再製的品牌精神。

The succession of arches transforms the deep, elongated perspective of the traditional townhouse, creating a seamless transition from the red tones that pay homage to the historic brick facade, into the serene, enveloping navy blue exhibition area.

British Design Vernacular
Utilizing refined profile moldings and large-scale mirror reflections, the design breaks through the spatial constraints of the old building's width, creating an illusion of infinite, optically expansive visual depth.

Craft Transformed
Rivets on the beams and columns become integral design elements when coated in vibrant color. The striking juxtaposition of industrial metal against weathered wood grain mirrors Story Wear’s core philosophy of deconstruction and upcycling.

A Deep Homage
Utilizing color psychology to quiet visual noise, the space allows the senses to return to pure craftsmanship. The deliberately minimalist skyline and the pristine exposure of the wooden trusses are our most profound, heartfelt confession to this historic townhouse.

永續設計的當代實踐：
舊物新舞台｜因應街屋狹長的層次感，我們捨棄一次性裝潢，選用具備歲月痕跡的古董行李箱與舊木長桌。這些家具承載著舊時光的記憶，能隨需求靈活調整，正如回收單寧的拆解再製，有效減少了商業空間的裝飾廢棄物。
低碳材質重塑｜在致敬傳統拱窗與亭仔腳（騎樓）語彙的同時，我們置入具備高度模組化與可回收性的工業金屬板。這種現代材質與老屋紅磚、洗石子的併置，在衝突中展現了跨越時代的相容性。
光影劇場感｜在飽和色調的包覆下，光影如劇場般精準聚焦，讓每一件丹寧作品在聚光燈下展現工藝美感，同時向這座百年街屋精緻的山牆與泥塑裝飾致敬。

Contemporary Practices in Sustainable Design
New Stages for Old Treasures
Responding to the deep, elongated spatial cadence of the traditional townhouse, we renounced disposable interior fixtures, choosing instead antique trunks and aged wooden long tables that bear the beautiful imprints of time. These furniture pieces, carrying memories of the past, offer flexible configurations to suit evolving needs. Mirroring the deconstruction and upcycling of recycled denim, this approach effectively minimizes decorative waste inherently found in commercial spaces.

Reshaping through Low-Carbon Materials
While paying homage to the historic arched windows and ting-a-ka (traditional arcade) vocabulary, we introduced highly modular and fully recyclable industrial metal panels. The striking juxtaposition of this modern material against the old townhouse's red bricks and pebble-dash (wash-stone) surfaces showcases a cross-era compatibility born from contrast.

A Theater of Light and Shadow
Enveloped in saturated, rich tones, light and shadow focus with theatrical precision. This design allows each denim creation to unveil its craftsmanship under the spotlight, while profoundly honoring the exquisite gables and intricate plaster molding decorations of this century-old townhouse.
